Creative industries business models from all over the world in Austria
Five-part webinar series of the Creative Industries Austria in the WKÖ presents creative hotspots to local businesses
From 27 February 2019, creative professionals can once again draw inspiration from international showcase companies in the creative industries and their business models at the Creative Industries Webinars. In addition to multi-faceted insights into the companies presented, the one-hour webinars will provide viewers with a market launch and an overview of the services offered by AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA at the WKÖ. Live questions can be asked in an interactive setting.
With its series of webinars, the Creative Industries Austria (KAT for short) of the WKÖ supports companies in their successful internationalisation within the framework of the creative industries strategy of the BMDW. "As an early adopter, the creative industries bring innovations from abroad to all areas of the Austrian economy compared to other service companies. By participating in the webinars, creative professionals can bring global trends from the creative industries to Austria, be inspired by innovative business models and expand their export know-how," says KAT Chairman Gerin Trautenberger.
Worldwide export knowledge from creative hubs
The webinar series was launched in 2018 by KAT together with AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA. So far, almost 2,000 creative industry companies have participated, virtual innovation trips have taken them to Tel Aviv, Copenhagen, New York, Frankfurt, Prague, London and Scandinavia. This year, the webinars show five new creative hotspots.
The event will kick off on 27 February 2019 in the US city of Detroit. Matias del Campo, founder of the Detroit and Shanghai-based architecture studio SPAN, will talk about "How Artificial Intelligence plans buildings", the title of the webinar. The subsequent creative industries webinar on April 2 will take viewers to Manila. The capital of the Philippines has now established itself as a Mecca for content, influencer and social media marketing. The Budapest edition on 8 May is dedicated to the topic "Innovative Design". Two more webinars will be held in autumn, including one in Barcelona.
