Coworking at the Inn | Room 13
To create space for inspiration and exchange for creative people - this idea was at the beginning of a cooperation project in the creative economy coaching C hoch 3 of the KAT of the WKÖ in cooperation with the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce. Raum13 is the implementation of the idea at two locations in Innsbruck and Schwaz.
13 can also bring good luck. In the course of the cooperation project with Kreativwirtschaftscoaching Tirol, 13 wanted to set up an office community in a central location in the Tyrolean capital. The building that was initially up for selection had - by chance or not - 13 rooms and the founding of the company "Raum 13" took place in 2013.
Nevertheless, there have not only been moments of happiness in the history of the company. Contrary to expectations, the selected premises were not available, the initial euphoria shrank and with it the collective. What remained was Herwig Zöttl, the initiator of the idea and owner of the Heumandl communications agency, and graphic designer Nikola Weiser. Today, Zöttl attributes the fact that they continued working on the project to the support of the C hoch 3 coaches, tools such as canvas and team-based methods. "C hoch 3 was a sensational experience for me, exactly to my taste, because unlike other events, it was personal and joint. And that is important to me."

Inspiring working atmosphere
In the spring of 2014, the two invited guests to the opening in room13, which has 200 m2 of space for 23 fixed workplaces and a FLEX table that can also be booked by the day. Anyone who wants to is welcome to join us for lunch on Thursday in the conference kitchen, while those who are looking for time to talk to creative people from a wide range of industries can take a seat in the living room. In addition, Raum13 is a regular meeting place for creative people who want to inform themselves and exchange ideas at creative industry events. Speaking of networking: The work tables made of Swiss stone pine and black steel were created in cooperation with Die Koje, the furniture designer's multiple award-winning company, winner of the Creative Industries History 2015 and former C hoch 3 participant Christian Leidinger.
Room 13 is an "inspiring place", as the duo defines it, where new ways of thinking and innovative forms of working together find their place. With a flexible infrastructure and a friendly atmosphere, which allows social connection and professional exchange away from work.
room to grow
Room13 has allowed it to grow, says co-founder Nikola Weiser. She left coworking in 2016 to devote herself to another cooperation project with her partner in Germany, the Seminarhof Sonnentor. In her place, Herwig Zöttls wife Katharina now cooperates in the GesbR, which opened a second location in Schwaz last year. And this is not the end of the story. Together with other initiatives from the Alpine region, Herwig Zöttl is currently committed to coworking - a further development of the coworking idea that combines leisure and work.
