When machines read human behavior
"Only through creative approaches will we be able to shape the future of man and machine as well as artificial intelligence and human intuition," says Machine Experience Designer Maya Pindeus. Her London-based start-up Humanising Autonomy is developing software that could revolutionise traffic in large cities by enabling vehicles to correctly interpret human behaviour through a deep learning system. "If autonomous vehicles and systems are to be safely integrated into our environment, we need to make them understand the subtle behaviours of people." In combination with design, we pursue a creative approach in our company, which offers a good interdisciplinarity with the fields of Deep Learning and Computer Science. Design allows us to look beyond the classical computer approach in AI," says the Machine Experience Designer.
