"Stop it": creativity as a non-violent weapon against bullying

Music as a means of change: The new anti-bullying song "Hör auf" by Ingrid Hofer in collaboration with Elfriede Böhler and Michaela Uitz-Steinhauser from the Bullying Coordination Office of the Vorarlberg Education Directorate. Listen to it now!

The power of the creative industry is often underestimated, but it can work wonders - as in the case of the anti-bullying song "Hör auf". This project not only created an artistic work, but also sent an important message to children and young people: don't put up with bullying, fight back without violence!

The fact that one in three children are victims of bullying is frightening. But thanks to the initiative of Elfriede Böhler and Michaela Uitz-Steinhauser with the support of creative Ingrid Hofer, there is now a way to counteract this sad trend.

The music video for "Hör auf" has already achieved thousands of views on YouTube and experts such as Dr. Alexander Bernhauts also recognize the important message behind it. The song's playful approach and clear message have the potential to raise awareness of the issue of bullying and encourage the children and young people affected to fight back. The song "Hör auf" celebrated its release on 22.02.2024 - International Stand Up to Bullying Day. 

In this case, the creative industries have shown that they can not only produce entertaining content, but can also help to tackle social problems and bring about positive change. Projects like "Hör auf" show that creativity is more than just art - it can change the world.
