Project kick-off: Biofabrique Vienna starts in April

Experience the pioneering project at the Climate Biennale in Vienna from April 5!

Biofabrique Vienna, a pilot project of the Vienna Business Agency and Atelier LUMA (a program of LUMAArles) in partnership with the Institute of Architecture and Design at the Vienna University of Technology, will be launched on 5 April.

How can unused local resources, such as the excavated material from the construction site of the U2xU5 extension in Vienna, be converted into new materials for future urban projects? Biofabrique Vienna researches and develops such innovative solutions at the interface of design, architecture and bioregional sustainability.

As part of the Climate Biennale, you have the opportunity to visit the research and production facility of Biofabrique Vienna at Nordwestbahnhof Vienna and get to know its diverse collaborators. During the hundred-day exhibition, visitors can look over the shoulders of students and experts from the creative industries, science, the public sector and business as they work together.
