A CHAMBER for creativity: slow shopping for slow goods... in this case, goods are the products
Together with Percy Thonet, designer Anna Prinzhorn has opened a venue that showcases not only her own art, but also that of up-and-coming international artists. Under the name "CHAMBER", visitors can find exciting design and sustainable products.

It often takes a creative mind to create space for creative people. Growing up in the 1980s, Anna Prinzhorn studied industrial design at the University of Applied Arts and at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. After working in renowned design and architecture studios, she moved with her family to her husband's forest in the Weinviertel region. There she decided to found her own furniture label. At the end of 2015, the circular economy furniture company One For Hundred was born.Â
But Anna had another vision: she wanted to bring a space full of inspiration and creativity to life, and together with Percy Thonet, they created a venue for up-and-coming talents from the design scene and a creative hub where both art lovers and artists feel at home: the CHAMBER.
More than just an exhibition space
In the heart of Vienna, a unique venue has been created that is more than just an exhibition space. It is an inspiring place where creative people have space for their ideas. At CHAMBER, art and design are combined with exchange and dialog. Of course, good coffee is also a must. This can be found in the adjoining small café "die Cafetiere", which is run by the renowned star chef family Mraz & Sohn.
The name CHAMBER may be reminiscent of a closed room, but in fact they create a special atmosphere and allow visitors to immerse themselves in another world. We particularly like the inviting atmosphere and the fact that we don't sit on conventional chairs and benches, but on classic furniture from Thonet and at unique tables from ONE FOR HUNDRED. Design you can touch. The pieces can also be ordered directly in the showroom.
Quality and origin are the top priorities here
Anna and Percy both follow the concept of "slow shopping for slow goods". But what does that actually mean?
Many people buy a wide variety of products without giving a second thought to their quality and origin. The slow shopping for slow goods concept is all about paying attention to such things. It not only promotes mindfulness in consumption, but also encourages you to buy fewer, high-quality products that are produced sustainably.
With this in mind, it is important to Anna to provide a stage for young talents in particular. At CHAMBER, she gives up-and-coming artists the chance to present their work directly at art and design exhibitions.
Labels such as Thonet, CS Rugs and One for Hundred will find a permanent home, and international artists will also find a permanent home. From September, two more major furniture companies will be joining them with their collections.Â
Everything shines, so beautifully new!
The CHAMBER is not only a place to purchase high-quality design; the regular presentation of works by a wide range of artists ensures that every painting and piece of furniture is perceived as unique. At the same time, up-and-coming artists are given the opportunity to gain recognition and build networks through this platform.
From mid-September, new works by Jan Valik, Ursula Futura and Onka Allmayr Beck will be on show in the Schauraum.Â
Take a look and see for yourself - we can only recommend it!
