What exactly is sustainability in design? What is the significance of regional production - and what can be implemented here in practice? Do other countries have a different awareness of eco-design? What is the significance of new materials? How can customers assess the sustainability of a product or service? Is the designer responsible for the sustainability of a product or service?
We discussed questions like these at the KAT Ecodesign Talk with the curators of the DESIGN EVERYDAY exhibition, Peter Umgeher and Georg Schnitzer from the Vandasy design studio, as well as the exhibiting designers Lotte Kristoferitsch(EOOS NEXT), Kathrina Dankl(Studio Dankl) and Sebastian Leitinger(Glein).
