Reform of the copyright law

Copyright law is the legal and economic foundation of the creative industries. The currently prepared 2021 amendment to the Copyright Act sets a new course in copyright law. The EU Copyright Directive must be transposed into Austrian law. The aim of the reform is to adapt copyright law to the new challenges of the digital and online market. The stakes for the domestic creative industries are thus high. The Allianz Zukunft Kreativwirtschaft is therefore committed to ensuring that the EU Copyright Directive is implemented precisely and as closely as possible to the text of the Directive.
