How do we want to live in the future? And what role do nature, technology, and social change play in this? The UNITED NATURE DEMOCRACY exhibition invites visitors to discover new perspectives on possible futures and to actively contribute their ideas.

UNITED NATURE DEMOCRACY (UND) sees itself as a space for experimentation with the future. In the museum garden of the Museum Niederösterreich, 15 audio stations spread across five “continents of the future” explore possible developments between 2040 and 2100. The future scenarios are based on the ideas, hopes, and questions of Generation Z and were further developed in collaboration with artificial intelligence.

The exhibition offers new perspectives on the coexistence of people, nature, and technology and encourages visitors to envision their own futures. It is complemented by projects by Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Lois Weinberger, which demonstrate how art and culture can spark social change.

The exhibition was curated by Christoph Thun-Hohenstein and Harald Gründl and conceived by the ReGenerativa Future Platform and the Institute of Design Research Vienna (IDRV) in collaboration with the Regenerative Design Lab at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Registration for the opening on October 8 at 11:00 a.m. is open until October 7, 2026.
