A single red line loops and curves smoothly on a light gray background, forming a large loop near the center before continuing off the right edge.
A woman with red hair, wearing a green top and brown pants, dances gracefully in a studio with large windows and black ceiling beams. Her eyes are closed, and one arm is stretched out in front of her—thus embodying the spirit of creativity that is often celebrated at the European Creative Industries Summit.

European Creative Industries Summit 2026

How can creativity and design help actively shape Europe’s future? The European Creative Industries Summit 2026 brings together creative professionals, decision-makers, and industry representatives from across Europe.

Under the theme “Fáilte* Future for Europe,” this year’s European Creative Industries Summit (#ECIS26) will take place in Dublin. Initiated by CreativeFED and hosted by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland, the event provides a platform for dialogue among the creative industries, policymakers, researchers, and innovation stakeholders. The goal is to bring the perspectives of Europe’s creative industries more strongly into the next phase of European policymaking.

The focus is on key issues for the future, such as competitiveness, fair and responsible AI, European sovereignty, the green transition, and democratic participation. To mark Ireland’s EU Council Presidency, international experts, designers, and industry representatives will discuss how creative solutions can address social and economic challenges. The summit is part of Irish Design Week 2026 and offers numerous opportunities for international networking and knowledge exchange.

* Fáilte (FAWL-cha) is the Irish word for “welcome.” Irish— Gaeilge —is the first official language of Ireland, and it lives on in the traditional greeting Céad míle fáilte: “a hundred thousand welcomes.”
