KMU.DIGITAL promotion

Your opportunity for creative digital projects

Digitalization is a challenge for many small businesses. For the creative industries, however, it is above all an opportunity to develop new services, become more visible and make processes smarter for customers. With KMU.DIGITAL and KMU.DIGITAL & GREEN, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism (BMWET), in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), has relaunched the popular funding programs. This means: New budgets. New opportunities. New projects.

What is supported?

In short: digital measures from consulting to implementation. This opens up a broad playing field for the creative industries.

Examples of eligible areas:

  • Websites & digital tools that simplify internal processes
  • The switch to correspondence managers or booking systems (IBE) in the hotel industry
  • SEO measures
  • Social media strategies
  • CRM systems
  • Accessible websites
  • And much more that improves digital communication, processes and customer experiences.

This is why funding for the creative industries is particularly exciting

Creative professionals design exactly the solutions that SMEs need now: professional online presences, smart user journeys, barrier-free web standards, content that works and digital tools that make work easier.

For creative service providers, this means:

  • New orders

Attention: Subsidized orders can only be accepted with certification!

Creative Industries experts can only implement KMU.DIGITAL projects if they have one of the official certificates.

Depending on the specialization, the following certifications are available:

  • Certified Digital Consultant (CDC) for potential analyses and strategy consulting with a focus on “business models & processes (incl. resource optimization)”
  • Certified eCommerce & Social Media Consultant for status analyses and strategy consulting with a focus on “E-Commerce & Online Marketing”
  • Certified eCommerce & Social Media Expert (CESE) for status analyses and strategy consulting with a focus on “e-commerce & online marketing”
  • Certified Data & IT Security Expert (CDISE) for status analyses and strategy consulting with a focus on “IT and cybersecurity”
  • Certified Digital Public Administration Expert for strategy consulting with a focus on “digital administration”

→ You can obtain the CESE certificate from the WIFI/WKÖ certification body.

→ All other certifications are carried out by incite, the training academy of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber’s Association for Management Consultancy, Accounting and IT (UBIT).
