Composing Futures: Creative Impact on Eco-Social Transformation

How can artistic practice help actively shape ecological and social challenges? The forum “Composing Futures: Creative Impact on Eco-social Transformation, ” taking place at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as part of Wien Modern, is dedicated to this question.
Over the course of two days, artists, musicians, researchers, and cultural practitioners from the fields of contemporary, improvised, and experimental music will come together to develop new perspectives on sustainability. The focus is not only on environmental issues, but also on fair working conditions, resilient cultural structures, and innovative forms of collaboration.
The forum combines ideas, discussions, participatory workshops, and co-creation labs into an interactive platform for exchange and collaborative experimentation. The goal is to develop creative approaches for a sustainable and socially just future for the cultural sector.
