Avant Première 2027 at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna

30.1. – 3.2.27 | Vienna | The world’s leading trade fair for performing arts on screen will take place in a new venue starting in 2027, bringing together international experts from the fields of culture, media, and film in the heart of Vienna.

With its move to the MuseumsQuartier Vienna, the renowned industry event Avant Première has found a new home. The international trade fair is considered the most important gathering for productions in music, dance, and the performing arts in the field of moving images. The festival showcases the latest music and dance films, concert recordings, documentaries, and artist profiles from around the world.

The screening program will be accompanied by a high-profile conference addressing topics such as sustainability, public service media, new platforms, innovative formats, and virtual reality. In addition, Avant Première offers numerous opportunities for networking with representatives from broadcasting, streaming, distribution, festivals, funding organizations, and the international creative and cultural industries.

Of particular interest to filmmakers and producers is the pitching session for documentary film projects in the performing arts. Selected projects will be presented to an international jury and will have the chance to win a cash prize of 5,000 euros. Anyone wishing to submit a performing arts documentary project may do so until November 23, 2026. The pitching session offers a unique opportunity to present your project to international industry representatives, potential partners, and decision-makers from the film and media industries and to gain valuable visibility.
