anotHERVIEWture Award 2026

The anotHERVIEWture Award strengthens women in building culture by giving them visibility, providing space to present their work and promoting exchange and networking. The award recognizes outstanding achievements by women in the fields of architecture and engineering.

The aim of the award is to raise awareness of the contributions of female architects and engineers while promoting diversity and innovation in both disciplines. The award aims to raise the profile of female expertise in architecture and engineering – and create role models for future generations.

Initiated by the Austrian Federal Chamber of Civil Engineers, the anotHERVIEWture Award was created to drive positive change and promote greater equality and diversity in the built environment.

There are 4 categories in total:

  • Category 1 – Female Architect of the Year: Honors the outstanding work of Austrian female architects.
  • Category 2 – Emerging Female Architect of the Year: Aimed at Austrian female architects who are under 40 years old at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Category 3 – National/International Female Engineering Achievement of the Year: Female engineers from Austria and abroad are invited to submit their projects.
  • Category 4 – International Female Architect of the Year: For female architects based outside Austria.

Each participant can only submit projects in one of the four categories.

Prize money: € 5,000 per category

Submission deadline: March 31, 2026

Award ceremony: October 22 in Vienna
