Open Call: Arts for Health Austria

Application deadline: 15.2. | A call for creative projects that combine art and mental health.

The CultureAndHealth Platform is once again opening doors for creative projects that combine art, culture and health. New calls are being launched in a total of eleven EU countries. All are adapted to the respective local needs. In Austria, things are also continuing: on January 15, 2026, ARTS for HEALTH AUSTRIA opened the second national tender with a total funding amount of 24,000 euros. Between 3 and 6 projects will be given the chance to be implemented as part of a two-stage selection process.

We are looking for artistic or cultural projects that strengthen mental health through interdisciplinary collaboration, be it through participatory art programs, preventive approaches, creative interventions in the health and social sector, installations or performative contributions related to well-being. Residencies, artistic research or completely new ideas that no one has thought of yet are also welcome. If your project touches, activates or creates spaces for mental strength, you’ve come to the right place.

Submitting is very easy. Fill out the application form and send it together with a current CV and optional material to calls@artsforhealthaustria.eu by February 15, 2026. All applicants will be informed of the decision on March 1, 2026.
