A group of people gather around a table covered with colorful sticky notes and papers. They are actively discussing and working together in a creative methods BarCamp workspace. Shelves and notes can be seen in the background.

Methods BarCamp

Experience co-creation, try it out, think ahead

The Method BarCamp will take place at Tabakfabrik Linz in March. The format emerged from the active participation of the we:transform community. As an open peer-to-peer experimentarium, the BarCamp encapsulates the curiosity, approach and collaborative spirit of we:transform. It thrives on the commitment of its participants and this is precisely where its power lies.

After a successful pilot in November, the format is now entering its second round. This time, the focus is on co-creation. After all, complex challenges are no longer a solo task. What is needed are methods and attitudes that enable co-creation so that desirable futures can not only be imagined, but actually developed together.

The Method BarCamp is aimed at colleagues from the fields of process support, facilitation, design and science. The aim is to create a space in which methods for co-creation can be tried out, reflected on and further developed in short workshop sessions as well as in longer-term, co-creative design processes.

In terms of content, the BarCamp is closely linked to the CYANOTYPES Creative Agency Competence Framework. This describes the skills that people need in order to remain capable of acting in open, dynamic and collective contexts.

The BarCamp does not see itself as a training format, but as a practical space. It is a place where skills are tested in practice in self-organized sessions, joint framings and temporary roles, particularly in the fields of collective agency and public agency as well as through explorative approaches such as problem framing and exploratory thinking.

The Methods BarCamp takes place on March 4 and 5 at Tabakfabrik Linz will take place. The hosts are the Makers Collective and Parkour Workshops.
