With the Lebendiges Grätzl funding program, the Vienna Business Agency supports small businesses and start-ups that sustainably enrich Vienna’s urban areas with fresh offerings, local social services and innovative concepts. Whether structural measures, digitalization steps or investments in equipment, if your project strengthens the quality of life in the Grätzl, this funding could be just right for you. Funding facts

Max. Funding amount: € 20,000 per company

Funding quota:

  • 35 % for proven vacancies of 6 months or more
  • 35% for projects in the Ottakring target area
  • 25 % for all other projects

Minimum project size: € 7,500, maximum project duration: 2 years

Who can submit?

  • Small companies (< 50 employees)
  • Founders:inside with business premises in the ground floor zone
  • Industries: Retail, trade, personal services, gastronomy

Submission & evaluation

  • Submission period: March 1 to December 31, 2026
  • Ongoing evaluation by an independent jury
  • Required documents: including annual financial statements, de minimis declaration, cost estimates; additional evidence in the case of vacancies
