1.5. | The film festival is a moving plea for diversity, creativity and humanity – a genuine commitment to inclusion.
With selected short films from all over the world on topics related to disability, the Art Without Limit – International Film Festival has become an internationally acclaimed platform for powerful insights and touching, little-heard voices. Films play an important role for society, they can have a very special impact and encourage people to make changes. With a clear view, an open heart and artistic power, the festival builds bridges between worlds.
The festival offers filmmakers from all over the world a platform to tell innovative, courageous and socially relevant stories and to open up new perspectives beyond classic narratives. The special focus of the festival is on promoting and making people with disabilities visible – both in front of and behind the camera.
On 1 May 2026 , the ART WITHOUT LIMIT International Film Festival will celebrate its Austrian premiere with an exclusive “Best of” selection – organized by KULTURWOLKE in Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel. International award-winning short films from past festival editions will be shown, impressively reflecting the artistic and social vision of the festival.
In addition to the film screenings, audience discussions, meetings with those affected and talks with filmmakers and experts are planned. Exhibitions (including photo documentation on ME/CFS and prosthetic technology) are planned in the foyer. These formats create space for personal exchange, reflection and direct encounters and make inclusion not only visible, but tangible.
The Austrian premiere is not only a cultural highlight, but also an invitation to rethink inclusion, diversity and social justice through the power of film art. The ART WITHOUT LIMIT International Film Festival is more than just a film festival – it is a movement that sees art as a driver for social change and connects international perspectives with local communities.
