DeziBellas – Networking for FLINTA in the music biz*

With DeziBellas, the Austrian music scene has gained a format that specifically strengthens FLINTA* people, networks them and makes them more visible. The moderated networking meeting takes place every two months and offers a safe space to share knowledge, ask questions and learn from each other. Experienced industry players pass on their expertise, while younger creatives contribute fresh skills and perspectives. This mutual learning makes the format particularly valuable. Many participants go home with concrete contacts, collaborations or even orders.

An important focus is on FLINTA freelancers from the fields of social media, content creation and digital campaigns. They are currently in high demand – and DeziBellas creates precisely those encounters that open up new career opportunities.

The name DeziBellas – based on the word “decibel” – stands for the volume, presence and visibility of FLINTA* people in the music business. Many decision-making positions are still characterized by traditional, cis-male structures. More diversity, for example through FLINTA*, BIPoC or people with refugee experience, helps to better reflect the real diversity of the music scene in front of, on and behind the stage.
