Experiences of our coworkers

Our creative industries coworking has been running since February and our participants have gathered in Tel Aviv, London, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Berlin. Supported by the Foreign Trade Centres of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, they are expanding their networks, gathering inspiration and testing the marketability of their businesses. Bettina Sticher on her time in Helsinki:

"In Finland, you have to walk a lot. The promenade is bustling, and on the small offshore islands it's not easy to find an empty seat on a Sunday."

"In addition to the art treasures on display, the Didrichsen Museum also contains the patent of Per Stenius' invention, Anti-Slip Device for Skis."

"In the Design Museum I am transported back to my childhood with the Finnish invention of the scissors with the orange handle from Fiskars. The Ball Chair by Eero Aarnio - a milestone.

"The coffee in Finland, called kahvi, is simply the best - drunk by the litre, as everywhere you go they serve it in these pump carafes. And the kanelipulla, cinnamon bun!"

"If I could, I would go back to Helsinki in a heartbeat and continue exploring this vast, fascinating country. But work calls and my project, which I was able to push forward thanks to this co-working space, is in the international starting blocks."

Business delegate Markus Haas welcomes Katharina Höppel to the coworking space damndesign in the start-up and design hotspot Tel Aviv. Find out how the coworking project works and what Katharina will be facing during her stay in the video.
